But, then his look turns serious and at once it’s back to the new sharp and cold haunted man her beloved friend has become. He grabs her hand away from his face and drops it sneering, “And they haven’t touched you at all, my dear,” before turning on his heel and walking away, leaving her blinking back tears and heart stinging with his words.
